Wisdom = Choosing right from wrong, and choosing best instead of what’s acceptable.
Can you imagine what one day of your life would look like if you chose the best thing with every possible decision?
– You’d choose the best way to manage your time
– You’d choose the best things to eat
– You’d choose the best things to do
– You’d choose the best things to say
– You’d choose the best way to think
Wisdom involves making the best choice.
So often, I wonder…have I chosen well? Have I made the most of my opportunity? Have I maximized each moment? Have I lived my life to the fullest?
Solomon was not only a man who wrote much about wisdom, he was a great recipient of it. He was regarded as wise. 1st Kings 4:34 says, “And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
Today, we have many sources for which we to turn to for wisdom. This includes:
– Ourselves
– Friends
– Ministers
– Authors
– Mentors
– Family members,
– & Even celebrities
But, Solomon’s wisdom was not regarded for as coming from these.
1st Kings 3:28 says, “And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment.”
His Wisdom came from the Lord. See below how God’s wisdom compares to ours…
1 Corinthians 1:25 says, “For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.”
May we be wiser than ever.
Live the life.
